OnePlus is gearing up to make OxygenOS 16 more powerful and smarter with the help of Google’s Gemini AI. The company recently confirmed that OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, will come with native Gemini integration as part of the brand’s new OnePlus AI experience.

The announcement was made through OnePlus India’s official posts on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, teasing, “Your planner, assistant, and manager all in one. #OnePlusAI.”

What’s New in OxygenOS 16 release date

The upcoming OxygenOS 16 update will bring a range of fresh features and design improvements along with Android 16. OnePlus has confirmed that Gemini AI will be integrated into Plus Mind, allowing users to interact with the assistant in more natural and personalized ways.

For example, you’ll be able to ask Google Gemini to plan a five-day trip to Paris using saved data from the Mindspace app. Gemini will analyze the places you’ve bookmarked—like museums, cafes, or landmarks—and create a personalized itinerary based on your preferences.

Apart from AI features, leaks suggest that OxygenOS 16 may also introduce lock-screen widgets, refreshed app icons, smoother animations, and a redesigned settings and notification panel. These enhancements aim to make the user experience more fluid and intuitive.

OxygenOS 16 Release Timeline:OnePlus AI

Currently, OxygenOS 16 is in a closed beta phase for a few devices, including the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13S. Only selected beta testers have access to it right now.

An open beta version is expected to roll out sometime in October 2025, followed by the stable version likely launching by the end of the year.

While OnePlus hasn’t officially shared a release date yet, users can look forward to a smarter, more connected, and AI-driven experience once the stable OxygenOS 16 update arrives.
